Bill of Materials - Assembly

Hi, does anyone know what the colour blue means on item 22, it's directly linked to Frame 200:2. See attached image

Should I be worried? Should I try and remove this, whatever it is.

Hi Micheal,

The blue box icons on the BOM table shows the item is a part (regardless how it was created). Frame Gen members are individual parts. The frame icons do not get populated to the BOM table. There is nothing to worry about.

Thank you for the reply. I do not mean the blue part clour. I mean the shaded blue in the background?

Hi! Sorry! I thought it was about the blue icon. The blue background means the particular component has "instance property." It is also denoted in the browser as a small black dot.

Such property can exist in the assembly level where it is placed. In your example, you can open the Frame Gen subassembly and right-click on the particular frame member -> Instance Properties. The property can be displayed in the BOM. Also they can be consolidated using Row Merging option in the BOM dialog.
