Mirror Model States

Okay just started using mirror states and already my first question.

In a normal .ipt you can have several model states. Now if you do a derived part from that model,
ie in my case a mirrored part, it seems like you can only choose one of those model states to use and
cannot access the other 2 model states.

Is there any way around this.
If not I have 2 choices
1. Remodel the mirrored part from scratch so I can get all 3 model states
2. Don't use model states at all. That is definitely not the route I want to go, as I have discovered
now how useful model states are

Any help appreciated as I am a complete novice with model states

Hi!

You can have the mirrored part as a state also, and you will not need to use the Derive (or if you derive, you can always edit the derive part and select other state).

Hi! As Carlos mentioned, you will want to use Mirror feature -> Whole Body -> check "Remove original." Suppress it in a Model State.

Derive isn't the solution here, because you cannot use a Model State to drive the Derive or configure Derive feature within a Model State.
