Tube and Pipe Run: Elbow Schedule does not match Pipe Schedule

I am creating custom pipe and fittings that include the weld end preparations so we don't have to manually bevel every edge after placing a tube and pipe run. I have authored the pipe per the following screenshots:

And I have authored the elbow per the following screenshots:

When I place individual parts from content center, my prompt boxes give me all the options I want:

And when I create the Tube and Pipe Style, I do the following:

But somehow still end up with this result:

Why doesn't Tube and Pipe run correctly match the schedule of the elbow to the pipe?

Hi,

It looks like you have two options for both the pipe and the elbow (1 & 0). From your screenshots, it looks like your pipe is set to 0 as default, and the elbow you set as 1. It may have something to do with that.

That option is a Boolean variable that suppresses the chamfer features. Since the pipe run is placing both parts chamfered, I don't think that would be the issue.

Sorry if I'm picking this up wrong but it looks like you are using a 6"NB sch. 40 pipe and a 6"NB sch.10s elbow - is that correct? I can see from the screenshot that the chamfer has been performed however there is a difference in size due to the different wall thicknesses.

That is the issue. I have specified sch. 40 in the pipe run style and pointed it towards sch. 40 elbows, but it is still generating s10 elbows in the run. Why?

I’ve experienced a similar issue before. It happened because I picked the elbow family rather than the schedule specific elbow in the expanded list below.

when i picked the family, t&p would randomly change the elbows to the first schedule listed in the family. Since i started selecting the schedule instance instead, I’ve never had the issue again.

@gcooper79 is correct the elbows don't follow the sch of the pipe. You must manually select the correct elbow via the stocknumber. I guess this is for customization purposes.
