can I double click a dimension to edit without 'making sketch visible'?

Hello all,

Does anyone know if there is a setting that I can change to where I can edit a part dimension without having to make the sketch (or sketch dims) visible?

In other CAD systems I'm used to clicking the feature, the dimensions show up, then I can double click the dimension I need to edit, then regenerate. No need to go into sketch mode.

I can sort of do this if I were to click the feature > click make sketch visible > then double click the dimension to edit > then regenerate > click the feature again > click make sketch invisible

This is basically what I'm looking to do, but there's 3 or 4 more clicks than I'm used to for every single dimension I need to edit (which is a lot!).

Right now it seems just a tad quicker to right click edit sketch in the model tree to edit, but this throws me into sketch mode, and reorients the view, which is just a preference thing, but also takes a bit longer as well.

I'm hoping there's a setting that might be able to maybe make sketch invisible upon regenerate (or something similar)? Those microseconds add up

(Inventor 2023, btw)

RMB on the feature in the model tree and select Show Dimensions.

if you have named your dimensions, or remember their number, you can use the parameters, edit any value then update the model.

I have that turned off long time ago in a galaxy far away.

Try the "fx" - parameter which "the other CAD" doesn't use much.
