Help to draw a feature

Thanks for the reply , I kind of understood the commands that you have used but still could not replicate the same, It would be very helpful if you make a screen recording of this.

See the attached video showing a simpler way to do it.

I didn't take the time to do it, but you can link the helix parameters with the previous feature parameters that match them. So for the helix height, you can use the hollow cylinder height, like I did for the helix diameter, using the hollow cylinder OD - wall thickness * 2. That way when you change the size of the underlying hollow cylinder feature, everything updates with it.

Update:
One thing I forgot to add is how to RE objects. I learned this using common sense and applying the principles I read about in Omar Blodgette's book, 'Design of Weldments' (go to Section 1.5). This book explains how to convert castings into weldments. Same principles apply to anything. For example, you can look at the individual features on your machined aluminum block in the same way as Blodgette's book looks at the individual parts of a weldment. You look at the part and think about which of the Inventor features can build each feature on the machined block. The skill comes into play when planning the design. The simpler the better.

If you Attach your *.ipt attempt here - I think I can demonstrate an easy technique using Coil.
