I actually just got another example from a colleague, which is a much smaller assembly.
Constraint bug - Inventor Pro 2022 shows wrong in top assembly

Some of my colleagues have been getting this bug more frequently, and it is rather critical.

When in a top assembly, some parts are out of place, even though Design Doctor shows no bad constraints.

When going in to the assembly with the visible bug, the assembly looks fine. I've recorded an example of this.

You can clearly see that the cylinder is off axis in the top assembly, however when opening the sub-assembly, the cylinder is correctly on axis. As you can also see, Inventor does not ask to update the assembly, so to force the update, I removed a bolt, went back to the top assembly, and could then force an update, which solved the problem.

This is very critical, as I've seen this bug on aluminium profiles on railings, where our installation team on site uses the top layout to measure for adding holes etc. We are using version 2022.4.

<video-js data-video-id="6372835938112" data-account="6057940548001" data-player="default" data-embed="default" class="vjs-fluid" controls="" data-application-id="" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"></video-js>
(view in My Videos)

Hi! A few things I would try. First, ground a logical component. The browser seems to indicate there is no grounded component. Second, do a measurement between the top-level assembly origin and one of the vertices on the model. How far is it? Try moving the whole thing closer to the origin. Another possibility is you may have duplicate files scattered in different folders. The files you are opening may not be the ones hosted by the assembly.

If none of above helps, please share the files in zip with me directly at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

Hi! Something seems wrong to me. Try a few things. Please make sure all critical Windows updates, the latest graphics driver, and all PC vendor critical updates are installed. Close all Inventor files and go to Tools -> App Options -> Assembly -> uncheck "Enable Express mode." Does it work better now?

Many thanks!
