[Bug Report] [Inv2023] Refresh files in session issue

Check the screencast: https://autode.sk/3oNae8W or reproduce the issue following these steps:
1. Create new part.
2. Add a new model state.

3. Save file.
4. Activate [Primary] model state.
5. Save file.
6. Close file.
7. Open part in Model State1.
8. Do the refresh in File --> Manage --> Refresh

First, what is the command refreshing? The file is not dirty!

And then why does it switched to [Primary] Model State

Refreshing files from disk (both from UI command or through FileManager.RefreshAllDocuments API) is an essential pattern I need to work with.

Hi! Let me explain what Inventor Refresh command does. It actually has nothing to do with Model State. It is more about comparing the file last saved date between the one loaded in the memory and the one on disc.

This command facilitate a PDM workflow. For example, you open ASMB and Part1 from Vault. Your team member was working on Part1 on this machine. He made some change to Part1 and checked it after you open it. Now, if you get his version of Part1, it will be different than the one you already loaded on your machine.

The Refresh command detects the difference and load the newer file in the memory.

Hi @johnsonshiue,
I know very well how Refresh works, but this is not really matter, I don't think that behaviour is ok. Have you seen the screencast in the original post?
I have no PDM application nor simulating something like that; Inventor switching model state after refreshing (of nothing!) just sounds as a bug to me.

Hi! I am sorry I missed the video. I thought you were asking a general question about Refresh. I suspect Refresh command compares the local doc in memory with the one on disc. Indeed, the behavior is wrong. I will work with the project team to see what we can do.

Inventor 2023.2 is out and this issue has been solved.
