Custom Contect center

Hi,

I have 3 custom content center libraries. Now I need to see what is inside these contents.

Hi,

If I understand you correctly you want to add these content centers and check its content?

If so, you might need to configure them for your current Project via the Project Browser and Configure Content Center Libraries:

There you should get a list of all Content Centers within your local Content Center folder and should be able to tick the content centers you want. The desktop content center folder is defined in Application Options > Content Center > Inventor Desktop Content.

I couldn't get really. Please see the attached image, I need to see the contents inside the red arrowed libraries.

Hi,

If you want to see the content of your "My Library" Content Center you could uncheck all the others and do a Place from content center in an assembly. Alternatively you could open it via the Content Center Editor (Manage>Content Center>Editor) to see and edit its content.

The other two libraries, ASA and AUSCAF, doesn't seem to be available in your local content center folder. From my experience this could happen if you earlier accessed these via a Vault Server and switched to desktop content or if they simply got removed from your local folder.

It still shows the top 2 as not available. Did you just update? Do these need to be migrated from a previous release?

You will need to find them in the old location and copy them into that new 2023 locations to find them. Red means they are not there.

In your original question you asked about the contents of three files:

My Library.idz is a compressed version of My Library.idcl
By default, this library is empty. It is provided as a place to store your own data for later use with Content Center related functions. The idz file extension is the compressed version of an idcl file. If you examine the installation media for Inventor, you'll find all the libraries are downloaded as .idz files (because they are small file-size) and uncompressed by the installer to create the idcl file (huge file size).
AI2023 Custom.idcl contains end-caps for steel sections used in Frame Generator. (It's actually a bit more useful than just end-caps, but you asked what it contains).

In your image, the two library files ASA.idcl and AUSCAP.idcl are not in the "Location of Libraries:" path indicated below:

If you know where these two files are, copy them to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor 2023\Content Center\Libraries

If you don't know where they are, you can remove the tick to the left of the library names and save the Project file.

I couldn't understand why the library name appear with $ sign

It looks like you're getting a bit mixed up with these libraries. Do you have a reseller you can call for technical support - preferably remote access so they can fix the libraries for you.

The $ signs are temp files. Close Inventor and open File Explorer to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor 2023\Content Center\Libraries
Delete the $ files
The Old AUSCAF.idcl.old is something you have created. I think this is the old "My Library" you may have attempted to rename. I would delete it because it looks empty.
New AUSCAF.idcl looks like a valid library - leave it alone.

All the rest are standard Autodesk Libraries.
