Hi,

Inventor 2022

I try to Make a Unwrap of a Face, but without Success.

How to do it?

Hi! The Unwrap failure is due to the fact that the geometry is located way outside of valid model range (+- 100m in each direction). Please use Measure tool to find the coordinates of one vertex on the body. The use Move Bodies (Modify -> expand the panel) and apply the inverted transformation to move the surface back to the origin.

After that, Unwrap will work.

Thanks for Solution, Thanks for Help.

But, i have other parts, and they are on the similary Position, and by the Other Parts the Unwrap Surface works Fine.

But never mind, great news, that Inventor Can do this.

Hi! The modeling behaviors outside of valid range (+-100m in X, Y, and Z) can be unpredictable. It may appear to work but it may fail all of a sudden. It is better to keep geometry within the range. Also, each piece of geometry should not exceed 100m.
