Inventor 2023.1 glitch in the .ipn environment???

I am making an exploded view diagram in the Presentation environment (.ipn). The issue that I am encountering is bizarre to say the least, not to mention frustrating beyond frustrating.

In the first screen capture "Enclosure_iam.jpeg" you can see there are 4 screws and lock washers attached to a hinge, the enclosure body, and the enclosure door, as one would naturally assume in an assembly such as this.

When you go to the Presentation environment, and begin to "explode" it, the confusion starts.

I took the two screws and lock washers on the enclosure side of the hinge and the hinge itself, and moved them out in the "X-Axis" as shown in the attached photo below a distance of 6.00" (six inches). There is ZERO movement in any other axis; "Y or Z". Then I moved the two remaining screws and lock washers with the Enclosure Door Assembly out in the "Z-Axis" as shown to a distance of 62.00" (sixty-two inches).

Now, when I trace back to the door hinge with the screws and lock washers in the "X-Axis" 3.00" (three inches) which is half the distance of the screws and washers on the enclosure side of the hinge, and then the full 62.00" (sixty-two inches) that I pulled the door, screws and washers out originally in the "Z-Axis", then pull them back through the holes in the hinge - again ONLY in the "X-Axis" (No movement in the "Y-Axis" whatsoever...) they do NOT align with the holes in the hinge.

I have tried, and tried and tried again to make sure that my numbers are correct, and every time, no matter how many times I attempt it, the alignment is off.

There is ZERO movement in the "Y-Axis".

How is this even possible?

This is not the answer to your problem but did you try the following:

1) pull off the door hinge an screws together

2) pull off all screws & washers off the hinge and door the extra amount

3) move the door itself, back on the X then the Z and then the X again?

This minimizes the separate moving of the door screw pair and will hopefully show a more accurate representation of the trails.

Did you move your parts on "local" axis or "world" axis?
Where did you "locate" your triad?
Are any of the parts you move tapered?

Parts are moved on the "world" axis.
Triad is placed by the Software when executing the "Tweak Components" command.
There are no tapered features on any of the parts.

Repeating the process myself it does not have this problem.

If I delete "Tweak:7" and then select the fasteners again, move them -62" via World coords. They line up as expected.

Something went wrong with the direction of that tweak somehow but I cannot repeat it.

Tested with Inventor 2023.1.1

It seems you're right. I went back and deleted tweaks 7-9, and then made sure that World Coords are selected, and re-traced the path back to the hinges and everything lines up, as it should.

It's bizarre that the original tweak 7 was somehow mis-aligned, as I never moved the Triad physically, I just clicked the axis vector, and entered the number (-62.00") and hit enter... I'm absolutely dumbfounded on that one.
