    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi! If you want to create just the flat pattern for the trimmed pipe, you can do it within the part. Or, you will need to turn it into multiple solid bodies and push derive the bodies as individual parts.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Here is a good example. You modeled the whole thing as one solid body. Using Delete Face to turn it into a surface body isn't necessary. Instead, you need to remove the blockage using Delete Face/Heal. After that, pattern the body three times and use Thicken/Intersect to retain the necessary geometry for each body. Lastly, use Make Components command to push each solid body as a part. Create the rip in each part and make flat pattern accordingly.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Inventor,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would like to be able to take this solid of my cut out Pipe and then turn it into a flat pattern,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SO i can plot the flat pattern out, and use that for my shop.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am thinking I Need to first Convert the solid to surface and then Flat Pattern,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but have had no success with either.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Attach file should help .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thx&lt;/P&gt;</description>
