How can I download the Inventor-tutorial-data-sets-2014?

Hello All.

I can not find the Inventor-tutorial-data-sets-2014 for my learning. The old link of the Autodesk website seem to be obsoleted (Picture below)

Does anybody has the compressed file or link to download?

This isn't meant to sound sarcastic - but why are you attempting to learn a product that is almost 12 years out of date?

Why not get the current (2025) version and learn that?

All tutorials are now here but I can't say how helpful they'll be with such an old version.

I don't even think you can activate 2016 anymore because I tried to install it a year or so ago. So if you're on a trial, it probably won't work when it runs out.

Hi pcrawley,

I am a Beginner, I have read the Autodesk Inventor 2022 Help Topics, but in some topics they links to the Inventor 2014 (Pic as below). So I try to understand how to use these and of course I need the 2014 Tutorial Files to exercise ^^

If you know other material for learning the Inventor, please help me. I very appreciate it!

I am still do not know how they (Autodesk) link to old version help (Inventor 2014) @@!

But these topics very detail! Do you know the resources that detail for the Beginner like me in order to learn ^^

I understand you, because I had to teach myself everything in Inventor too.

My method was just do as I could, until I came to something I didn't know how to do. Then I'd look up on YouTube how to do it. YouTube has lots of videos and tutorials for just about anything.

Personally, I didn't use any Inventor tutorials - but that's not good how they're still linking to stuff that doesn't exist.

Just to bump this topic and emphasise the problem further.

We have an engineer who needs to learn a bit of dynamic simulation and is looking for the tutorials.

As mentioned above, the files referenced in the Inventor 2025 help are missing from the tutorials - hidden away is a link to the 2014 versions which are no longer available.

From the 2025 help, go to this page:

You'll see that it says "Set your active project to tutorial_files and then open Reciprocating Saw.iam.". These files are nowhere to be seen.

A bit of digging takes you to this page within Inventor 2025 help:

At the bottom of the page is a section that says "For more information" and there's a link to simulation fundamentals part 2:

This link goes to the online 2014 help! This has a link to download the tutorial files from here:

This link doesn't work.

So as you can see, nobody is trying to get help for 2014, we're being pointed towards it by Autodesk's own help files which are woefully inadequate and massively out of date.

Yes, I am aware that there are other tutorials for dynamic simulation, but I only found them from this thread.

The tutorials in a standard Inventor install are absolutely shocking.

A simple example is clicking the pulldown next to the help icon in the top right > learn more > tutorials. It takes you to a web page that tells you to click somewhere else for tutorials!

Fair enough, that's a simple thing to overcome. Let's click tutorials from the home tab.

It says to set the filter to "quick start to view tutorials that introduce you to the basics of sketching, part modeling, creating assemblies, and documenting your design in a drawing."

Quick start has the first three tutorials in this order:

ACAD Import (copy)

Create a slide with solid sweep

Embossed water bottle (copy)

I would maybe start with sketching, then basic feature creation and work from there..... I know professional training is preferred but this isn't the most user friendly start for beginners is it?
