dimension representation for Inch

In Inventor Drawing, when we are providing the dimensions, we required the Inch dimension to be represented as for example 10" instead of 10 in, can we change the dimension style.

for dimension type ft it is coming, for Inch it's not.

Hello and welcome! In your Styles Manager, you can modify the Dimension Style like this:

On the Units Tab uncheck the box for Unit String (to remove the "in")
On the Text tab, add the " under Suffix

If you make this change in your drawing Template files, it should persist into any NEW drawings you begin.

Hi! I was going to suggest you change the unit to ft or an Architectural dimension style. But, you already know. Other than that, I am not aware of an automated way to change it.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, I have to use dual dimensions, as per your suggestion when I try, the dimension is looking like 255 [10 1/16]" if the " could have been inside the bracket it would be my solution.

any other suggestions?

I’m afraid not. This doesn’t work well with dual dimensions. I had the same issue in my last position, and never found a work around other than just accepting the way it looked, or using the default Unit String (in). This may already be in the Ideas Forum as an enhancement request.
