Hi, I'm on Inventor 2022 and having trouble with extruding/embossing a text in Edwardian font. It works fine with other fonts except this one. Can someone please help! Thank you

Hi! More than likely there is an issue when Inventor tries to convert the text in such font to a profile. You may want to try creating such text in AutoCAD and then use EXPLODE command to convert it to polyline. Then copy and paste it to Inventor. It may work better. Another approach is to use Fusion 360 instead.

Many thanks!

Hi @ddn996

It seems that Inventor has problems with specific characters. I checked Extrude and Emboss and they work with different words and sometimes they don't.

<video-js data-video-id="6318581140112" data-account="6057940548001" data-player="default" data-embed="default" class="vjs-fluid" controls="" data-application-id="" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"></video-js>
(view in My Videos)

If none of the options work for you, then you actually need to break it down to Plines in AutoCAD.
Just remember to check the automatic creation of coincident constraints when importing geometry into Inventor.
For examples of DWG import methods into a sketch, see this thread:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/dxf-dwg-into-inventor-problems/td-p/11669306
