Thanks for the answer, is there any way to go around this ? What if i assign a custom material with wood properties ?

Hello,

I wanted to run a analysis on the wooden frame, which is fixed to the foundation, but it doesnt let me to use the selected material (wood, maple) for some reason. It has yellow explanation marks on some of the materials and all of the wood types... Any idea why ?

You can only use materials that are isotropic, which wood is not. You will have to use more a advanced FEA simulation program, to simulate materials such as carbon fiber and wood that have a grain structure.

I don't think so, wood is a hard material to simulate. Even if you enter all the right properties of the wood, you still can't assign the grain direction/structure, which is very important for the strength of the wood.
