I had an HP Z-Book 17 G2.

It worked OK w/32gb ram and large models.

But when I upped it to 64gb and it was very good.

Otherwise, 3dgb is minimum ram IMO.

Also, video card was quadro not geforce, not sure the performance difference.

I added a 500gb ssd for OS & apps to speed it up, and used the original 2tb hd for storage.

It lagged bad w/the original hd until I upgraded it.

It was an i7 @ 3.2ghz > 3.9ghz O'C.

It wasn't as fast as my old desktop (see signature specs) b/c for some reason it had a very slight delay at times.

I never could figure out what caused it.

But it worked just fine with huge models both graphics and modeling.

Hi!

It will work for sure, but the performance will depend on the kind of models you will open in the software.

I will add at least more 16GB ram.

The 1T disk... it helps a lot if it's an SSD disk

Definitely extra RAM and SSD as mentioned above. You probably have seen this but if not, you can use some of the reqs. in there to make sure you have the right configurations esp. on the graphics card and cpu cores.
