I have an equipment that has to be divided in 3 parts for transport. I modeled all the equipment in 1 assembly using frame members. Im trying to derive the 3 parts in separeted ipt so I can have mass and center of gravity of each part, but the simplified part brings mass and center of gravity of the original assembly.

I didn't modelled the equipment in 3 parts from the begining because we don't know when we started the transport limitation until the desing is really advanced.

There is a way to force de derived ipt to re-calculate the center of gravity according to the new geometry?

Verify that you can update the physical parameters in the individual part iProperties.

Hi! This is per design, because the simplified part represents the assembly. If you want COG to be based on the part geometry, you will need to use Derive Assembly command.

Many thanks!
