Can not save file + export PDF in Inventor durning working

Hello support guys,

In inventor 2021, most of the time during working we can save file (then lost everything I did) + export PDF. Need to restart the app and then can work back.

Which solution can I do to fix that issue?

Hi! It sounds that Inventor crashed when you tried saving a drawing file and exporting it as a PDF. There was a similar issue reported a while back. It was logged as INVGEN-38220. The defect has been fixed in 2021.1.

Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Also install 2021.4 update followed by 2021.4.4 update.

thanks for your help. Inventor did not crash, only these commands (save, export to pdf) did not work (no action) when I click the buttons until I restart inventor. i installed already the newest update but still having that issue.

Hi! Is it 3D PDF or regular PDF? Maybe you want to try adding the following environment variable to see if it makes a difference.

Close Inventor and go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment Variables -> add "DYANMIC_LOAD_APPLETS" and set it to 0.

Restart Inventor. Does it work better now?
