Problem with Generic material/appearance Library

Hi.

I have a huge problem with the material/appearance in my Library. All parts that I create in a part file is completely dark, especially when Generic is assigned to it while its suppose to have a more light grey color, its really actually just black. I feel like I tried everything to get the part to show more clearly but you can hardly see the part you are creating.

I have two different laptops with Inventor on where the one's generic appearance is as it should be so I compared its material/appearance settings with the other one that I must use for work, though I could still not find the solution since it appears that both settings are the same by default with no changes so I don't know what else could be the problem.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You seem to have a problem with the lighting style. Check two lights, for example, or the others.

The Lighting Style solved the problem as you said.

Though if you look at the following attachments:

Default (1) is the original lighting style of Inventor on my Personal Laptop

In Default (2) is also the original lighting style of Inventor on my Work's Laptop.

There is no difference since the light boxes remains unchecked in both of them and their settings are the same too yet the appearances are still completely different.

It does solve the problem however, if I check the first light box on my work's laptop as you see in the solution photo but I would have to do that every time I start a new part file. On my personal laptop, well for some reason has no affect on my part's appearance whether the light box is checked or unchecked.

Once again, thank you so much, I battled with this for a long time, atleast now I know what alternative to use.
