Hi @kacper.suchomski ,

If Nastran is not perfect and Inventor Stress Analysis even less so, which analysis package would you recommend?

I only ask because I tried using Inventor Stress Analysis to get the 'Reaction Force' to find it is wildly out, as in it makes the items more heavier, so had to switch to Nastran which on a 20kg item is only 60g heavier, which is more acceptabe.

Hi, I have a question, What is the difference between Inventor stress analysis and inventor nastran?

Wow. There are more differences than similarities. But seriously:

The analysis environment in Inventor only has a linear analysis module and a modal analysis module.
However, Nastran has several others, including buckling, collapse (collision), non-linear analysis, various thermal analyses; Lots of modules and lots of possibilities.

Only contacts are available for the analysis environment.
In addition, Nastran has connectors that allow you to significantly simplify assemblies and relationships, and consequently speed up the simulation.

There are also some differences at the interface.

Generally, Nastran has much more potential.
However, it's not perfect.
