Placing 360 CAD into Inventor --> No bodies read from file

Good day.

I am experiencing an intermittent "bug".

New designs created in fusion 360 will import blank with the warning "No bodies read from file". Every other instances of that problem I find googling doesn't seem to apply.

I simplified the process as much as possible:

- New fusion 360 design consisting of a single body which is just an extrusion (test.fusiondesign)

- New blank inventor assembly file

But I have 2 fusion designs which I am able to import, which are also a single body (Hitch bar v2.fusiondesign).

I am flabbergasted as to why one design will import just fine where the other ones will not. All designs are showing up in m Fusion360 "drive" through the desktop connector. I am also project admin.

Any help is appreciated. I have taken a bunch of screenshots but can only attach 3, hopefully it's clear enough.

This hitch bar design I am able to import and work with. Not sure what the difference is.

Try to Refresh the cloud, sometimes it get some time to refresh the file.

Also try to download the file locally in your PC and open it.

The test file is 4 days old now so I doubt that's it. How do I force a refresh on the cloud?

Hi! If I recall correctly, Inventor only imports surface bodies and solid bodies from Fusion design, not mesh or Tspline. You will need to convert them to bodies. If possible, please share the f3d file here or send it to me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I can try it on my machine to understand this behavior better.
