Hi! In Inventor, you could scale the mesh by playing with units. For example, if you want to scale down , you may export it to a bigger unit. For example, you may import the mesh to a mm template. Then export it to STL as cm (1/10) or m (1/1000).

Many thanks!

So, my best friend has her birthday in 2 weeks and I was thinking of printing a 3D model of her dog to give to her on her birthday. She is very fond of this dog, so it would be a great gift. I downloaded a file online that resembled her dog the most, but it's too big for 3D printing. I just started using inventor and I have no idea how to scale this particular document. I would also like to kind of edit the model so it looks like her dog even more. I'll put the zip file in the attachments section. Thanks in advance!!!

The Files are STL Format... For scaling, you can very easily do it on your slicer. best tool for that.

for modifying surfaces, Inventor is not friendly at all.

have a look at:

https://all3dp.com/1/7-free-stl-editors-edit-repair-stl-files/

Hi!

It's a lot easier to do it in FUSION:

In the example, file was reduced to 25%.

What's the scale you need?
