In my .ipt, I was just trying to link a .pdf file to it, then got that error below (I also tried an ,iam file, same error)...

Thank you for that, but this error is within the "Create Note" command when you right-click the top node in the Browser tree to do it. Also I wasn't embedding it, only linking it.

I understand. I was looking at what the "patient" was screaming, that being Inventor, and seeing if a similar remedy would be worth a shot.

Yup!...This "seemed" like it was going to be such a useful thing, until it didn't work...at all.
