Hi, CStilesCARE

Basicaly i have custom frames conected by screws but i want to get the individual drawings of each frame without the hole causes by the screw because there is no need for a pre-hole

Thank you

Hello, i am working with an frame assembly constitued by multiple frames. What i want to do is to have a drawing of the assembly of each frame, showing the elements and the connections. The drawings for each stud of the frame are very thin and don't need the information of the hole made by the connections. Is it possible to have the drawings from the studs without the connection hole but in the drawing i get from the assembly, the connections are present?

Try Weldment.

Or just cut the holes in assembly.

They should not transfer to the part.

The BC tool will cut holes through all members, typically. I see some options, though:

If you open one of the members, you should see the hole feature drilled by the tool. This can be suppressed, so that it will not show on the drawing. At least you used to be able to do this. I have not tested it in 2024. I also do not know if you can use a model state to control this. FG did not play well with model states in previous releases. Again, maybe this was fixed in 2024. Caveat is that the hole will not show in the top level assembly

The BC tool does allow you to deselect a component before the bolt is placed. The tool will then ignore that member. Same caveat as before

Let the tool do what it does, and in the drawing, turn off the visibility of the hole. Caveat here is that the drawing does not match the part. This may add confusion for your fabricator, if the members are being cut with a tube laser. Make sure you explain your process to them

Do not use the BC tool, and drill the holes at the assembly level, and add the fasteners. The holes will not appear at the part level, nor on its drawing

HTH

Hi

In a single profile drawing, you can easily indicate and hide hole lines.

If you don't need to actually show the holes in any drawings or model views, then I believe you can turn off the function for BC to create the hole features (see pic below).

Otherwise, one of the other options suggested might be your best bet.
