show open dialog slow performance

It take about a minute to show the opendialog in Inventor the first time you open a file after this it opens normal and directly without delay.

What is the solution for this behavior.

I think that, its about your subfolders.And libraries. it takes some time to scan them all and write them to ram. trt yo create new project without libraries and subfolders if its normal you can change the file path your subfolders and libraries.

Thanks for the answer, but the same I have tested with a clean new project (*.ipj) file.

I have the same slow performance also than.

When I run the Inventor.exe as administrator the performance is normal!

Any further Ideas.

I think you are using software that checks permissions in managing your local disk. I think that every time inventor wants to access a space on the disk, the permissions are queried. That's why when you run it as admin, the software does not check this situation and everything becomes normal.

I have one userprofile that is set as administrator and that is the one I use.

Sounds therefore a bit wierd, isn't it?

How can (your story) this be disabled.

Hi Arthur,

A few things to try. With the same project file, disable Antivirus tool temporarily. Does it work faster? If not, edit the project file and remove any unused favorite folders or library folders, particularly the ones on a shared network drive.

Please make sure Inventor updates and Vault updates applicable to you are installed.

Clean up %temp%.

Even i am facing the same issue and also the collogues in my office. Same for IN 2023.

I need to check with IT about disabling the anti virus. Other solutions suggested above are not working.

My bad.

"Run as administrator" works. But thats a temporary solution. Good to solve it permanently.
