Inventor Pro 2024 Download

Hello,

I am trying to update my current version of inventor pro 2022 to 2024. i sign into my Autodesk account to download Inventor_2024_0.1. A window pops up and asks if i allow Autodesk to make changes to my computer, i click yes. another window pops up saying installation error, just says "An error occurred while preparing for installation. please exit and start the install again". what are the steps needed to update my version?

Install 2024 before the update.

I would make sure that 2024 is running properly before downloading and installing the .0.1 Update...

I believe you are trying to install the update.
You have to find Inventor in Products and services:

Then, you will see if you need the update, or is already installed with Inventor.

In order to diagnose the problem, I suggest that you choose to Download it (create an installer on your local hard drive) rather than Install it. Make sure that you have the whole download done, then run it and see what errors you get, if any. You might also try posting your question to the Installation & Licensing Forum, where the experts in Installation problems hang out.
