Error Updating Assembly Parameters from Adaptive Model

I am trying to get the model parameters for the adaptive curve of the conduit run attached to automatically update to the assembly once the two connectors are placed.

There is no issue initially linking the curve to the assembly parameters, but it does not update after the connectors are moved.

Overall length of the run is parameters d6+d7+d8

All corresponding files are in the same source folder so I don't think that's the issue.

Pictures attached show parameters before and after the connectors are moved.

I can't find much information about these two topics combined so any help is appreciated.
