Sweep Issue

I don't why I can't sweep the following sketch. The file is too big. I uploaded it to google Drive.

Hi!

You have all profiles disconnected, if you drag the geometry you will find it:

First, connect the geometry to have a closed profile.

Add some constraints like collinear, connect, equal, etc to improve the sketch.

Turn all the elements that don't belong to the profile into construction geometry to help the software recognize only the profile geometry.

Add a rail in a 2D sketch, since it´s not accepting the 3D rail.
Create the "loft surface".

"Close" the surface with Patch

"Sculp" the 3 surfaces, and got the solid.

Remember to keep the recordings short and to the point.
Only record the area of interest - preferably including the browser.
Edit your recording before posting to delete any unnecessary pauses or mistakes.

There are so many things going on on this, it's impossible to make a little video with everything.

I send you the file and you can analyze it and try to replicate it in your model.

Note:
For size questions, i compacted the browser tree, don't forget to expand it again to see all the features.

RMB and select "Move EOP to the end"

I am just curious. Why the file that you have attached is smaller than my previous file about 10mb after expansion.

Doesn't more stuff equals to bigger file size.

I don't know the reason, but... maybe fully constrained geometry will need less info than free geometry.

The file was smaller because the "End of Part" marker was rolled up near the top of the tree. Geometry takes more space in the file than the instructions to build it.

Move the EOP marker to the top of the model tree and check the file size - then move it to the bottom and check the file size again. When the EOP is at the top of the tree, the file only contains the instructions to build the geometry - not the geometry itself - so the file is much smaller. Back in the "old days" of Inventor and dial-up internet, moving the EOP was a great way to send files more efficiently, or to archive old projects on expensive storage devices.
