I have double checked that I have current version installed. 2024.3.3 and windows and graphics drivers are up to date. This behavior is not specific to this assembly file, but it does seem to be specific to when I pull a section or auxiliary view from an angled face. I can place a base view, orient the view to the angled face and everything behaves like normal.

After creating a base view and auxiliary projected view I try and dimension geometry from the front edge of this machine. In the base view this seems to be fine with no issue. In the auxiliary projected view after a short distance from the same edge it will not allow me to select geometry aligned to this edge.

I can move the created ordinate dimensions to the points which it will not let me select to add a dimension. The command line appears to be stuck asking to select a centerline even when the feature is a center point, or in other cases not even a cylindrical object.

I have double checked that this geometry is perfectly flush and perpendicular so there should be no issues with alignment to the views.

Hi! Matt,

The behavior does not look right to me. A few things to check. Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Install 2024.3.2 update.

Is this behavior specific to the assembly or it happens on other assemblies too?

Many thanks!

Hi Matt,

This could be a geometry issue or the view direction issue. Please share the files with me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I would like to take a look to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
