Help with .obj file

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody could help me convert a .obj file in to a solid.

I've tried it but with no luck, the mesh enabler fails.

Hope someone can help me turning this file in to a usable solid.

Hi! Inventor has fairly limited mesh modeling ability. I suggest you look into Fusion 360, where there is a dedicated Mesh Design environment. You may repair the mesh and convert it to a smoother solid bodies.

You file was not at all solid/watertight/fixed:

Many thanks for your effort!!!

But I'm affraid it is still not a very usefull model. And it needs to be scaled 10 times bigger.

I'm going to try it with Fusion like @johnsonshiue suggested.

I'm curious how well fusion360 can auto-repair that. When you do could you post the repaired .stl?

Hi! The success of any geometry repair workflow depends on how bad the geometry is. Also, it may depend on the sequence of operations. It is a bit trial and error. Please feel free to try the Mesh Design environment in Fusion 360.
