Sheet Metal - Bend Part - Hide tangent Edge!

I need to hide this tangent line indicated in red.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

Origin. iam. with several open plates.
Derived component for IPT.
In IPT. I use Bend part.
The tangent edge line is from the bend.
I can't eliminate the bend line. (bend part).

I can't find an option to hide tangent edges.

At our company we use Inventor 2026.3.

Hello @iva.btblan,

using the bend command Inventor cannot create a closed cylinder, there has to be a gap at the ends.

The edges you are seeing perhaps come from this gap?

@iva.btblan It should be the common behavior here, even I create the bend part feature from scratch, and the split edge will be created in the face. Now it should be by design, and no option to remove it manually.

This line is causing confusion in the factory.

There are two ways to handle it. If you make the part as a Sheet Metal one (for further Flat Patter extraction from it) then you will have to have a gap.
If you are not concerned about FP - create a part as a Standard one. You won't get any tangent lines in either of the options. And with the Standard part - you won't get any gap either.

If the lines are true face on face, are you using the View > Visual Style > Shaded with Edges? What if you just change it to shaded?

Delete only one edge.

If you place a shaded view on a drawing, you should be able to hide any edge-- select it, right click and choose Visibility.

Yes, there is. Reading your posts it appears you need more training. I don't understand how did you manage to get a job of such magnitude?

Your level of expertise in Inventor is somewhat on a beginner level.
