These types of messages usually point to corruption in the file and most likely you'll not be able to recover it. If the old version still has the same message its probably an indication to you to re-create the file.

That's weird you can open it everybody that's opened the file besides you has received the same error I'm getting. I sent the file to our Autodesk distributor and they received the same error when opening the file.

Do you think if you sent the file back to me it would work now? Maybe you would need to add something so you can save it.

Hi! Unfortunately, the debug mode is for our internal testing purpose. I cannot share it with you. Do you have files in similar situation? Please feel free to send them to me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I can take a look and see if they can be opened. If you could find the steps to reproduce the corruption, it would be extremely helpful to finding a fix.

So, I just had this error, (5/15/2025) on Inventor Pro 2025.3, on some (empty) placeholder assemblies in a large mechanical assembly. I was able to close the assembly completely. Go into vault, change the state of the placeholder assemblies that were throwing this code from released to quick change, I hit checkout assembly in the vault, (but the assembly wouldn't check out) however, after completing these steps I was able to open the empty assemblies from the vault, and then check it in, eliminating the error.
