Inventor 2026 – “Format Text” window appears blank in multi-monitor setup (SOLVED)

Hi everyone,
I’d like to share an issue I ran into with Inventor 2026, which cost me some time, and how I fixed it. Hopefully this helps others facing the same problem.

🔎 Symptom

The “Format Text” dialog opened completely blank/white, without any buttons or content.
The issue only happened when using a dual-monitor setup, and only on one of the screens.

💡 Diagnosis

After some testing I noticed:

If I opened the window on the right monitor → it stayed blank.
If I moved it to the left monitor, closed it, and reopened it → it worked correctly.

So the problem wasn’t with Inventor’s configuration files but with how the graphics drivers handled multi-monitor rendering.

🛠 Solution

The issue was caused by my NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 drivers.
Here’s how I solved it:

Downloaded the latest drivers for my GPU from NVIDIA’s website.
Launched the installer and chose Clean Installation.
Restarted the PC.

✅ Result

The Format Text window now opens correctly on both monitors.
The issue was related to the graphics drivers in a multi-monitor setup, not to Inventor or the user profile.

👉 Tip: If you run into similar blank/empty dialog issues in Inventor on a dual-monitor setup, try reinstalling your GPU drivers with the clean installation option first.
