If I recall correctly, it is usually with sheet metal parts and the Corner Round feature.

Hello.

How do I prevent this offset when selecting edges to Fillet/Corner Round in a single feature? Should inner and outer rounds always be separated to avoid this behavior?

Before

After

Regards,

Hi

I wonder if the order of clicks might have an impact on this, but to check that we need the file.

I don't think that it is the order of clicks that matter, Inventor seems to do it in a sort of clockwise manner (but you are not going to be able to tell if it is from the top or the bottom or the side and it will figure out what you are trying to do if you try to trick it).

For a more controllable blend of fillets - if it is more simple parts like this it is probably better to create that corner as rounded in your sketch for your sheet metal face (or your extrusion if it is a standard part).

I was trying to model some old castings some time ago and so many fillets came together in some spots ... you know, do believe that this problem was even able to confound mirroring at times. (I do know that I did have mirrors fail because what looked identical wouldn't fillet as a mirrored feature.)

For what it's worth, I tried this in Inventor 2026.1. I first deleted your corner round feature, then created it again, with perfect results.

The Corner Round tool has been updated in the last release or two.
