Configuration Table doesn't update with "Replace Model Reference" - Inventor Professional 2025.3.1.

I've noticed what I think is a little bug in the model state configuration table in drawing files. If you do a "Replace Model Reference" it doesn't update the link to the table to the new model reference. I've come across this a few times as we manufacture parts that have multiple sizes, and its much quicker to make one nice drawing, save as, then replace the model reference. I've attatched an image below showing that the model has a different name to the configuration table.

I haven't been able to find a way to update the reference. If anyone has come across this or has any insight, please let me know!

Hi! It looks like a regression to me. It should work. Somehow the workflow was broken in the most recent update to 2024, 2025, and 2026. I will work with the project team to understand the issue better.

Hi! I am sorry I was a bit confused. It appears that this particular workflow never works for General Table referencing a component with non-Primary Model States. It can be reproduced as early as Inventor 2022 (the first release of Model States). It does work for iComponents (iPart/iAssembly). The project team is trying to understand it better and see how it can be addressed.

@mitchELAHB this has been tracked as [INVGEN-86395], which is more like an enhancement request as it has never supported before. If possible, could you please submit the idea in idea station to get the customer votes? That will be really helpful for us to prioritize the request later. Many thanks!
