How to get rid of unresolved links

I have and assembly made from multibody part.
Each part in the assembly is referencing parent part.
If I open each part of the assembly and break the link to the parent part I see this confirmation icon.

After I save and reopen the assembly, it is still looking for parent part in each component derived from it.
Why it happens if link is broken? how can I fully unlink the parts from the parent part?

Hi! Go to the browser and find the search bar -> click on the unresolved button. The components with unresolved files will be listed.

I dont look for unresolved links, I want to get rid of dependencies

Hi! Yes, that is what I meant. But the issue you are seeing could be a corruption. The assembly assumes the link still exists but the link was already deleted or broken. Please share the files with me directly at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better. Or you may try demoting the components to a new subassembly. Then use the subassembly as the top-level assembly. This is the only way to purge the corrupted link.

Hi! Many thanks for sharing the files! I took a quick look. I notice the unresolved components are all nested in the Bolts folder. It seems to be that the CC parts cannot be found. Is this what you are talking about?

No, that is not what I mean.
Because I've used PackNGo you have parent file on your side in the same folder, which is this one "....v3_orient.ipt".
For me this parent file is in different project folder and should not be linked anymore to current one.
If you remove this file on your side and restart the assembly, all children parts will be missing link to the parent "....v3_orient.ipt".
I went to all those child parts and broke the link to the parent. After I restart assembly it is still looking for the parent, ignoring broken link.

Hi! Many thanks for the clarification! The only way to get rid of the link is to break it. Suppressing the link still keeps the link alive. You will need to open each derived part and right-click on the derive feature -> Break link.

yes, that is what I did, but after restart of the assembly, all those children are still looking for the parent... that's why the question, why this is happening?
