Content Center issue, Inventor 2026

I updated to the new Inventor 2026 software. The issue is that I can't see my custom library components with the Content Center tool or for example, my custom profiles in the Insert Frame tool. However, I can see all the libraries when I explore the content using the Content Center Editor. Vault is not in use. Any suggestions for solving this problem? Thank you.

Hi! This is a known defect on Inventor 2026 RTM version.

This should have been fixed in 2026.0.1. You will need to migrate the custom CC library in Configure CC dialog. Please share the idcl file with me directly at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the issue better.

My libraries aren't working as they should either, even though I installed the update. I can see my own components through the Content Center Editor. However, they are not visible through the Content Center function, nor in the Insert Frame function. Could you please provide detailed instructions on how I can migrate the libraries that already appear correctly in the 'Configure Libraries' menu? Thank you.

I have a number of idcl files from previous versions of Inventor and I set up inventor to save my content center files on my D drive so that when I install inventor I just point to that folder but it hasn't worked this time.

Could you possibly do a video of how to correct this or even better can Autodesk fix this.

I don't see why the client has to go through all this when it has worked all these years.

Our time is way to precious to be messing around to fix Autodesk issues

And what to do when I do not have any backup of those custom CC libraries?

All my libraries has been updated by Inventor 2026.0.0

Hi! The process of migrating custom Content Center Libraries is indeed exactly the same process described in the above Help page. I am not aware of other ways to migrate the libraries. If you go through the process on Inventor 2026.0.1 but the CC libraries are still not available, that will be a defect. Please share the idcl files with me. I can take a look to understand the issue better.

I have made migration process with Inventor 2026.0.0, without making backup. Now, after updating to version 2026.0.1, libraries are still empty. I do not know how to migrate those libraries again, because I do not have the old versions to migrate.

I decided not to switch to Inventor 2026 yet because of this issue. I’ll continue using the 2025 version, where custom libraries work. This has been a particularly frustrating problem since it has prevented the use of custom library components in designs. Hopefully, Autodesk will fix this so that users won’t have to resort to tricks just to get the libraries working.

Many thanks for sharing the idcl files! As I noted in the email reply, these idcl files are the standard idcl files from prior releases. They don't need to be migrated and they cannot be migrated. You just need to use the shipping version of the Content Center libraries. Do you have any custom CC libraries?

Did you install 2026 Content Center? It should be installed as part of 2026 install. You don't need older idcl files.

I just did a normal install as always.
I didn't see an option to add content center separately
