How to hide features in a part?

How can I hide (not surpress) a feature in a part? I want to be able to see the dependent features but not the parent when I'm making a sketch..

Unless they are seperate solid bodies (then you can turn off the visibility of each solid) then you can't...

Don't forget about the slice tool too..

Oh really. That's quite annoying. I'm migrating from Solidworks where this is a fairly trival thing. That's very much a missing feautre I feel

Can you attach a *.sldprt file demonstrating the behavior you are after?

I cannot find any difference in this behavior between Inventor and SolidWorks.

Well, I missed it then. Maybe I don't know enough about SolidWorks?

Exactly what time in the video?

SolidWorks weldment creates muliple solid bodies in the part file (check the cut list node).

So, unless I am completely confused - the behavior works identical to Inventor - if you have multiple solid bodies in a part file you can turn off the Visibility (Hide) one of the bodies.
