inventor studio - view section

Hi,

Is there any way to force inventor studio to render image but with model sectioned by view-> half section view?

I would like to show inside of my box. I have used quarter section view and launched inventor studio. On screen all is fine, and I see what I would like to see on render. However when I render image with "current view" selection cuts are not used. Instead of quarter model I see whole and no inside.

Hi Cris,

This is not possible because the Half Section is only a visual aid for the user.

Inventor Studio is not aware of the Half Section view.

The only way I know would be to create an assembly feature cut and use this view. You could create a new view rep for this if you wish to have a drawing view to match as well.

Can I have extrusion features created in assembly active only in some view representations?

No but you could create an iassembly and include/exclude the cuts in members as needed..

You could just create the cut when you need to render and then delete it when rendering is done.
