    <description>&lt;P&gt;First of all - Autodesk Inventor is not AutoCAD.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You have probably jinxed any future success with installing Inventor by insulting it.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Students (and schools) can get the latest version of Autodesk products (including AutoCAD and Inventor) for &lt;STRONG&gt;free&lt;/STRONG&gt; from &lt;A href="http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.autodesk.com/edcommunity&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Be aware that Inventor 2015 files cannot be opened in Inventor 2014.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I recommend that you get a 17" screen with full numerical keypad for CAD work on a laptop.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Get as much RAM as you can afford - Min 8Gig.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;And of course Windows OS.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I think you should be able to find a machine between $700-750.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
