Good day,

how to put Bolted Connection on radial surface. I've linked image of my part

I've made an extrusion through radial surface then put a champfer feature to imitate countersunk.

So the countersunk screw goes through the main part and enters the thread on the half-ring part.

Thank you

You will have to place your fastener and add your own constraints rather than use the Bolted Connection generator.

Thank you, but dont know how to constrain it. I try to use Insert constrain but i cannot choose a hole on radial surface as circular instance. Maybe there is no way to do it precisely? Maybe i can somehow constrain it to the hole axis an move it manually "by sight" just to check the approximate length of screw?

Create an axis in the hole.

Create a workpoint at the projected intersection of the axis and cylinder.

Attach your assembly here if you can't figure it out.

Instead of creating a chamfer feature (which is easier to do, but does not give an accurate countersink), do a revolve cut to create the countersink. This is how a countersink tool actually creates the feature, and it gives you a properly angled face to which you can constrain the flat head screw. Use a mate constraint, but use Select Other to choose the angled faces instead of the axes (the default).

Sam B

Inventor Professional 2015 SP1 Update 2
Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, SP1
HP EliteBook 8770w; 8 GB RAM; Core™ i7-3720QM 2.60 GHz; Quadro K4000M
