Howdy

I'm using Inventor 2014.

I'm currently running an 17 destop with 8gb RAM and a GeForce 750ti video card (2GB)

I find this combo to work pretty well, the graphics seems a little slow with I have the entire product loaded up in edge mode, but seems fine in shaded mode.

So I'm looking at the Dell 6800 and Alienware 17 laptops.

I know that the 6800 has a quadro..... it also seems quite expensive for what it is, and the A17 seems like more bang for the buck and also sports the gfx accelerator option, as well as single plug "docking cable" so you can take it home without goofing with everything....

So will the Alienware 17 work well? Is the performance good enough that it could become your primary PC?

What others am I not considering?

Thanks
