Hi, guys,i'd appreciate a little help here, you see, im trying to make a hole (.82 in) through the cylinder by doing a Cutting extrusion, but it says, that it has not volume... :S

Who taught you (or I should say didn't teach you) how to use Delete Face command?

When you used Delete Face you converted your solid body into a surface body.

Surface bodies do not have volume.

Almost nothing is modeled correctly on this part - starting from the first sketch.

and, have you installed all Service Packs and Updates?

I recommend that you start over and recreate Sketch1.

If Inventor doesn't report in the lower right of the screen (and the sketch doesn't ALL change to a darker color) STOP.

Do not continue.

Attach your file here and ask for help on getting the sketch fully constrained.

Avoiding/ignoring this basic step now will cause you many headaches in the future.

Thanks! great advice (sketch into darker color)!
The solution you gave me at the beginning worked!!! (: , i delete the "delete face command" and i hadn´t trouble!, ill be more careful with the sketches!!
🙂

In Sketch1 of the file you attached - you have a line overtop of another line.

Missing a Tangent constraint.

Missing horizontal and vertical constraints.

When you get more experience - Inventor will create these constraints for you automatically - so they are no extra work.

Also, rather than repeating dimensions use Equal (=) constraints rather than duplicating dimensions (unless design intent is that the dimensions might need to be different sizes).

In general - apply geometry constraints with precedence over dimensions when possible.

...and, there is a place for the Delete Face command, but in my experience - almost all use it incorrectly.
