topic Moving Work Planes (size and position, not dimension) in Inventor Forum

In the Part environment, I can click on a Work Plane, drag the corners to resize it and click the edges to move it.

In Assembly environment, I can only click on the corners to resize it. I cannot adjust it's position within the model.

Actually, I can even move (slide) Work Planes that belong to a part model in the Assembly environment.

But I can't move Work Planes that were created in the Assembly environment.

Anyone know why? My assembly workplanes are too large and make the model difficult to navigate.

I can shrink them, but I cannot move (slide) them near the parts they are relavant to.
