Generating iPart files in new release

Nice new snazzy release of Inventor... so I go into some of my stock iParts, save to the new format, and then "Generate Files" for each iteration.... and I would just love it if there were an "OK to ALL" button thrown on there, so I don't have to click "OK" 100 times.

...or am I just making work for myself? This seems like a proper thing to do...

Yes that would be one way.

Do you not migrate your files via task scheduler? You probably should and that would solve that problem too.

Frankly I'm not even sure why we need to even "generate" at all..

IMO just saving the ipart factory file should automatically re/generate all members auto-magically. (and take care of migration when needed)

You can select all the members, right click and generate the files.

Ah, that makes sense... maybe I'll give that a shot. I actually haven't used it before, but I recall considering it. I discussed it w/ my manager, and he was concerned about it... which I can appreciate. Monkeying w/ tens of thousands of files at once, I could see the possability of some block of drawings becoming corrupt, and never knowning about it until it's too late. Autodesk has a really solid record of backward-compatability in my book, so I was content to just update on an "as needed" basis.

Any thoughts/comments on performing mass-migration would be welcome.

Yes, that's what I did, but then the problem is having to hit "OK" for each instance of the iPart... that is the problem.
