Inventor 2016 crashes when starting

Immediatly after starting Inventor 2016 it crashes.

What did i tried

- Repair installation -> No solution

- Reinstall -> No solution

Error Unhandled Exception

Inventor 2015 works fine on same computer

Hi!

Inventor worked before, or never worked?

Check for Inventor update.

Update your graphics card driver.

If it still not working, unistall net framework and install it again.

Johnny,

From the crash reports you sent in, they suggest that your template.config file in the active Design Data folder is corrupted.

Are you trying to use the as-shipped Design Data folder or one from a previous version of Inventor ? If you use the Design Data folder in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2016\Design Data does it start OK ?

My default template.config file is attached for reference (you'll need to remove the .txt file extension - .config files are not supported as a file attachement on these forums).

Hi, I am having the same problem, tried your solution but I had no luck.

when I try to open to Inventor, it opens the welcome screen and then it simply turn off. No error message or other thing happens.

any suggestion?

this started happening after the last win 10 update.

I've already tried to reinstal the inventor but it still doing this.

I've checked it but my windows is running on a seperate partition on my mac computer.

The inventor always runned very well until this stupid windows update.. Incredible!!! Now I have jobs to finish and I just can't!!!!

If you log on to your Windows 10 machine as a different user can you run Inventor?

What version of Windows are you up to if you check with the Winver command?
