Hi Group

I have a part with 46mm o/d and i want to put a male thread on here with like a metric fine 1, 1.5mm or 2mm pitch but in inventor the threads offered in iso metric are only 45mm or 48mm o/d? why can't I set the diameter to what i want? or is there another way of doing this?

I did select "metric forming screw threads" which looks like it is doing the right thing but i 'm not sure what the sizes are referring to, with size 1.5 the designation is 1.5 x 0.5 is this a 1.5mm pitch 0.5mm deep??

although when i select this option and apply a box pops up saying "create thread feature: problems encountered while executing this command" and i'm not sure why

regards Adrian
