Hi @Hubert_Los

The styles need to be set up manually in the editor one by one for each material/ nominal diameter / sch. Editing the xml style manually likely won't work due to all the CC variables that you might encounter. A tip all of the fittings and pipe need to have a matching schedule and Nominal diameter in there respective family for the style to work. Did selecting the multiple schedules work for you? If it didn't post up some images of where your having difficulty. It works fine in what I'm using which is 2022.

Hello,

I have a problem with the automatic selection of fittings by Inventor.
Connectors such as elbows do not change according to the selected schedule. When changing the schedule, only the pipe changes, but the elbow is selected first from the list. In my case, it is always schedule 10, because in the table in CC it is the highest. How to change this, or how to create a CC library so that it is set correctly? I have the schedule set under the name "SN". Maybe someone has some step-by-step instructions on how to do this?
In my case, all schedules do not have an "S" at the end.
Should I manually select the right connector with the right schedule with each configuration and know which one has what number? Or do I just have a badly created library?

I am using Inventor Professional 2019

T&P will always default to the one highest in the list. I'm not sure if this is intentional behavior, or a limitation. What I did to work around this was simply to limit each family to one Schedule or material. It does mean more families in the library, but once you have them assigned to a T&P Style, that's not really an issue. Once you have a base Family created, it's just a matter of copying that Family and giving it a new name, and adjusting whatever needs to be adjusted in the values. That does speed up the process. It means a bit more setup, but in my opinion, makes things run a bit more smoothly.

Hi @Hubert_Los

With new schedule selected in the style manually selected the elbow by stock number with the correct schedule it can be tricky if your stock number doesn't have the sch anymore. So put the cursor in the new fitt8 g and select ok. As you have found the style filter no longer works so a manual selection is needed. With this approach you can select different schedule and material all from the same family. While C Benner approach of copying family is still good having multiple families to update is a right pain. Another bug in the addin that needs fixing. Some user messages needed to say the schedule doesn't match and how the user should fix this.

I'm thinking about it, but without macros, I think it will be hard to manage such a Content Center.

Maybe it's crazy, has anyone tried creating styles in an exported .xml file?

Does your CC family have this material added? This will create members with this material and allow a unique partnumber and description to be given.

It sounds like you're dealing with an issue related to Autodesk Inventor, specifically with the automatic selection of fittings, such as elbows, in your designs. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this problem:

1. Review Your Library:

Check your library of fittings to ensure that each fitting is correctly associated with the appropriate schedule. If there are discrepancies, you might need to edit the fittings in your library.

2. Edit Fittings:

If your fittings are not associated correctly with the schedules, you'll need to edit them. Ensure that each fitting is properly labeled and categorized within your library. Greece Powerball

3. Create a Custom Content Center Library:

You can create a custom content center library in Inventor. In this library, you can define the correct associations between fittings and schedules. Here’s how you can create a custom library:

Create a New Library: In the Content Center Editor, create a new library for your custom components.

Add Fittings: Add your fittings to the library. Make sure to specify the correct schedules for each fitting.

Associations: Double-check and set the associations between fittings and schedules. Ensure that the correct schedule is linked to each fitting.

Save and Use: Save your custom library and use these components in your designs.

4. Manual Selection (Temporary Solution):

If you are unable to resolve the issue immediately, you might have to resort to manual selection. Manually select the appropriate fitting with the correct schedule for each configuration. While this might be time-consuming, it ensures accuracy until the issue is resolved.

5. Check for Updates:

Ensure that your Inventor software is up to date. Sometimes, issues like these are resolved in software updates released by Autodesk.

6. Consult Autodesk Support:

If you are unable to resolve the problem, consider reaching out to Autodesk support. They can provide specific guidance tailored to your situation and might be aware of any software bugs or issues related to your version of Inventor.

Remember, creating a well-organized and properly associated library is crucial to ensuring that your fittings are selected correctly based on the schedules you define.
