Gentlemen, perhaps silly question.

Is there a way to simply select a drawing view ( say a projected or cut view ) and just copy it to the clipboard to be inserted

into AutoCAD ( or perhaps other CAD )?

Often times I do not need the entire 2D geometry, rather only a single view to be inserted into a new, unrelated AutoCAD drawing.

As it is, I create the views in Inventor, save it as AutoCAD drawing, open in ACAD, select the view, copy it to the clipboard

and then paste it into the new file.

Wondering if there is a quicker, simpler way of doing this.

Basically I'd like to do the same thing what is already possible from AutoCAD into Inventor, except in reverse.
