Sweep vs extrude: Sweep block evreything not extract, why ?

I am having an issue:

- When I sweep:

After that I cant start a 2d sketch on the created surface

After I cant Shell the value I want

- With the same objects, if I Extrude instead of sweeping:

I can start another 2d Sketch by selecting the extruded surface

I can Shell the value i want

Sorry in advance if it's a stupid problem, I am a beginner

I attach the file with the surface and the path to sweep, then try to add a 2d sketch on the bottom face

Looks like a bug.

I've added some dimensions and constraints to your Sketch2, and tried the whole thing without fillets in Sketch2.

Sweeping was done, but after that no fillets could be applied. Trying to shell the simpler geometry failed as well.

After that I made a STEP of it, and re-imported it to 2016. Fillets and shell could be done now.

Attach your extruded example and your swept example.

Indicate which face you want to do the 2D sketch (must be a planar face).

I am having trouble figuring out your true design intent as the sketches are not fully defined.

I suspect that if you really want a sweep that the profile should be sketched perpendicular to the path (it currently isn't).

I don't go to third party sites like the one you linked.

I have had bad experience with silent install of malware in the background.

What happens if you -

put all files into a folder,

right click on that folder and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder,

and attach the resulting *.zip file here (1 file)?

upload to your A360 drive and provide link here?

This would be a complex design for a beginner.

It is not a extrusion.

Sketches should be fully defined.

Sweep profile should be perpendicular to sweep path.

I woud avoid splines if possible.

I have already spent maybe 60 hours on it and still stuck

I would be really gratefull if you could give me some general guidance, advices, on how to do it. I will begin from scratch again (for the 50th time)

That's really nice thanks you !

It looks like mine, with another method, I really like it's very elegant !

But the problem stays the same, The big big issue I am trying to solve for days, is to create this shelled extrusion:

There is multiple difficulties for this back "extrusion" holding the circles holes:

1 - It follows the front bezel shape

2 - It also follows the side curve

3 - It's has not the same dimension , it has a "Draft" shape (large on the top, thin on the bottom)

Even with your model I did not find any way do it

I am really sorry for using your precious time for that
